The extracted polluted air passes through the water charge and is cleaned in the baffle system. The resulting water chips trap pollutants, which are collected as sludge by special plates and discharged into the sludge tank. The dust-free air flows through the separator assemblies, where it gets rid of water droplets and exits the separator.
When switched OFF, the upper part of the filtration is ventilated through the air duct by a chimney effect. The critical area at the bottom of the filtration, where hydrogen generated by some specific technologies and subsequent air cleaning could collect, is ventilated by a flap that opens automatically when the separator is switched off, independently of the power supply.
